Incredible fragrance of this shrub is matched only by its prolific masses of tiny, tubular lavender blossoms that start as reddish-purple buds in mid spring. Flowers are framed by burgundy foliage that develops into a rich green. Makes for an outstanding informal hedge or a striking specimen.
