Ruellia humilis - Wild Petunia Prairie Petunia

You must be logged in first to purchase an item.

Ruellia humilis, commonly known as Wild Petunia, is a charming North American native perennial that brings a relaxed, natural beauty to sunny gardens. Soft lavender-purple, trumpet-shaped flowers appear from early summer into fall, opening among softly textured green foliage for a delicate yet colourful display. Individual blooms may be short-lived, but new flowers continue to appear over an extended season. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators are drawn to the nectar-rich blossoms. Tough and adaptable, Ruellia humilis tolerates heat and drought once established, making it an excellent choice for native gardens, dry borders, meadows, and naturalized plantings.
