When disturbed, the leaves and stems of this rambling shrub emit a lovely fragrance. Trademark of the species, three leaflets per leaf emerge light green and turn brilliant gold and crimson in fall. Tolerates a wide variety of soils, except poorly drained. Ideal for use as erosion control, informal hedges, and naturalizing hard to landscape areas.
