Prunus domestica 'Italian' - Italian Plum
Elongated fruit, deep blue colour with a greenish yellow flesh, with a freestone. For fresh eating or perserves. Partially self-fruitful, for better crops, plant with another European plum variety. Fruiting will take 3 to 5 years after planting. Ripens at the end of September. Pruning should be done at the end of winter. In fall, install tree-guard on the trunk to protect it against sunburns and rodent damages, for the first years.
