Iris sibirica ‘Black Joker’ creates a dramatic display with richly coloured flowers featuring deep wine-purple falls edged in golden yellow and contrasting lavender-blue standards. Its elegant blooms rise above upright, grass-like green foliage in early summer. Compact for a Siberian iris, it works beautifully in mixed borders, beside water features and as a distinctive cut flower. Provide consistently moist, well-drained soil for best performance. Hardy and deer resistant, it adds unusual colour without demanding extensive maintenance.
