Diervilla × ‘SMNDSN’ Kodiak® Jet Black is a striking, compact deciduous shrub prized for its exceptionally dark foliage and outstanding landscape versatility. Deep burgundy-black leaves emerge in spring and maintain their rich colour throughout the growing season, creating dramatic contrast with surrounding plants. Clusters of small, bright yellow flowers appear in summer, standing out beautifully against the dark foliage while attracting bees and other pollinators. Its dense, mounded habit makes it an excellent choice for mixed borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, and naturalized landscapes. Adaptable and low maintenance, Kodiak® Jet Black tolerates a range of growing conditions and provides exceptional foliage interest.
