Lovely elliptical medium green leaves edged in creamy white turn reddish-orange in fall then drop to the ground. Through the winter dazzling scarlet branches seem to be ablaze, especially against a snowy backdrop. Grows well in moist soil where it can spread and naturalize, but a late winter pruning can keep desired shape.
