Sure to be the crown jewel in any landscape, foliage provides a backdrop for the feathery purple plumes that seem to rise like puffs of smoke. This cultivar was chosen for having the darkest foliage of the species, a deep port red that’s almost black. Fall colour is golden orange. Slow growing and strong branches make pruning a rare requirement.
