Palmate foliage emerges reddish-plum in early spring and matures to rich burgundy through the summer eventually acquiring a brilliant scarlet in fall. Graceful, slender gray branches add artistic structure to the winter landscape. Excellent for a small lawn, patio, or next to water features. Hardier than most to cold temperatures, prefers moist, well-drained soil.
