Violet-purple buds open to bright lavender blossoms in late spring on this dense, compact shrub. The 10-12cm panicles emit a strong, sweet fragrance adding to the appeal. An excellent choice for informal hedges, mixed into shrub borders, or in cottage gardens. This lilac also known for its heat tolerance.
