One of the darkest red magnolias, Vulcan is a striking small elegant tree with rich, ruby-red flowers that bloom in early to mid spring before the foliage emerges. The blooms are huge (25-30cm) and are heavily textured. It has an upright, narrow habit making it ideal for small gardens. It is spectacular as a specimen plant but also for city gardens.
